THE BIBLICAL GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS)
MAN: We have all been created by a loving God, for a loving relationship with Him. To also live in His life of destiny and purpose for us. Mankind will never truly be fulfilled in life until this happens. Mankind has also been created to dwell in heaven as our eternal home. However, because EVERY single person, ever, has sinned and broken God's laws and commandments (Exodus 20; Romans 3:23; 2 Chronicles 6:36) heaven and God's destiny for your life cannot be entered by you. For example, have you loved and obeyed God 100% with all your heart, body, soul and strength everyday of your life, not letting anything else become more important than God? No-one has! Romans 3:23 says that every person has broken God's standard. 1 John 3:15 says: “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” Even hate is the same as murder in God's eyes. These are just a few of God's commandments and required perfect standard you have broken and come short of. Man can never be in right standing or innocent before God because of this disobedience and sin. Sin has destroyed our relationship with Him and many of His blessings to us. God's requirement to enter heaven is 100% perfection. However, mankind has tried creating his own religions, philosophies and ways to try and make himself perfect before God. These usually have systematic rules and rituals etc., that just produce a self-righteousness. But man's religious ways and also man's good works are "filthy rags" before God, (Isaiah 64:6) and can never produce a personal relationship with Him due to this barrier of sin. They will never wash sin away, as only God's way can.
GOD: He is a righteous, holy, and just judge and must punish your sin and law breaking (Exodus 34:7) whether you desire a relationship with Him or not. Good judges do not clear the guilty, but give out sentences to protect the innocent and bring freedom to them. Being lenient with the guilty actually punishes the innocent. Every one is under God's righteous wrath because of sin (1 Thessalonians 1:10). You cannot save yourself from this judgement of God by your own merit (James 2:10). Sin is eternal and the punishment for sinners will also be eternal, with very serious and everlasting consequences to your sin. But God, who loves you intensely, like a precious child of a loving and kind father, in his mercy and grace wants to save you from hell and take you to heaven. Grace is receiving what you don't deserve, having a free gift from God (Romans 6:23). God wants everyone to be saved, (2 Peter 3:9) and will save anyone, no matter what they/you have done. God's way to save people and yourself from this punishment and receive His grace gift, is Jesus Christ.
JESUS CHRIST: He is God in the flesh (John 1), God's Son, who was sent from God as a free gift to save mankind. You have a choice to receive Jesus and be saved from the results of sin, through Him. God's son Jesus is the only one who has ever fulfilled all of God's laws and commandments. He is perfectly holy, pure and righteous. He died, being tormented on a cross and then resurrected, as a perfect substitute for you as he was man 100% and God 100%. Jesus took everyone's sins onto Him and washed them away (1 John 1:7; Romans 5:8), to satisfy God’s justice, (Romans 3:26). Jesus is The only way to be saved (John 14:6). Your sin creates eternal debt towards God, but Jesus paid this debt to God for you. Because Jesus is perfect, if you turn to Him you can have heaven as your home, instead of hell, blessings instead of pain, and a restored relationship with God. God’s forgiveness of your sin and removal of your personal debt is received through Jesus. This is by repentance from and faith.
REPENTANCE AND FAITH: Repentance is an admission that you are a sinner. It is also where a decision in your heart and mind is taken, to turn from sin and disobedience-to God and His ways. Having placed your hope purely onto Jesus for forgiveness of sin, you should then ask Jesus into your life as Lord, (supreme authority). You must put all of your faith onto what Jesus has done for you. You can't put faith for salvation into going to church, knowing and believing all the facts, temporary fear/help, religious rituals and good works (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:5-9). And neither, solely on, intellectually believing there is a God (James 2:19), feeling His presence or trying to keep His laws, but trusting Jesus alone for your salvation, with your life, and wanting to commit to him, (Romans 3:24-25).
If you are willing to DECIDE to TURN away from sin, towards God and you BELIEVE and TRUST everything Jesus has done for you, for your salvation and willing to SURRENDER your life to Him, PRAY to Jesus with the following prayer. Jesus, please forgive all my sins and save me. Come into my life as Lord and Saviour. I choose to turn to you, your ways, and Holy Spirit please come into my heart. Amen.
IF that has been done, you become born again and saved, (John 3:3-5). All your sins are now forgiven and you are made perfect before God, as if you have never sinned (Romans 5:1). You are now not under God's laws, although due to a love of God you will naturally start fulfilling them. You can now have a personal relationship with God, which is what he wants, (Colossians 1:20). As a disciple of Christ, (Christianity is about relationship not religious rituals) it is ideal to be baptised in water and God's Spirit, grow spiritually by reading a Bible (2 Timothy 2:15) and meet with other true disciples regularly. God has a purpose for your life and wants you to spread this gospel and these truths to others (Mark 16:15). Hardships will still come but put Christ first in your life and look forward to heaven, being with Him!
